The mural brings together Langston Hughes at KPFA, Beat poets Gregory Corso and Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and children in a Berkeley Public Library reading program. Local landmarks include the Key System streetcar, a Chinese-owned produce market, and UC Berkeley’s Sather Tower. Maps and archival photographs connect these individual scenes across the long format, with a mural key providing context for each source.
