Full Clairemont San Diego mural composition, with colorful archival neighborhood scenes arranged across separate panels.
I designed this mural to tell the story of Clairemont’s growth as San Diego expanded after World War II. Archival photographs connect neighborhood landmarks with military life, public spaces, and recreation.
The composition includes Clairemont’s modern library buildings, the 1949 groundbreaking of the Clairemar Apartments, and scenes of Marines, USO gatherings, Toys for Tots volunteers, and roller skaters.
My role included the mural and key design, production coordination, and installation review. The researcher supplied the archival imagery and captions.
